Following on from a super successful event held in London in June 2026, in celebration of 70 years of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference, we are excitedly planning not one, but two events for 2027.
London, April 2027
Our London CONN+CT eventwill be hosted from the 21-23 April 2027. Aligning with the upcoming CSC UK programme this will be a lovely opportunity to engage with the CSC UK programme delegates as they become alums. This event will be situated in central London and will combine study tours, leadership dialogue and new alum engagements.
Australia, October 2027
CSC 2027, to be held in Australia in October 2027 provides an exciting opportunity for us to host out first full alumni conference. For the first time in history, generations of CSC alumni from across the Commonwealth will converge on a single continent under a unified banner.
This conference builds on the 70-year legacy of the initiative, founded by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in 1956, with an urgent mandate: translating seven decades of leadership insights into collaborative, systemic solutions for the world’s most pressing global challenges.
Since its inception, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences have operated on an extraordinary premise: bringing together high-potential leaders from business, trade unions, government, and civil society, and exposing them to different perspectives to foster better decision-making.
This first-ever alumni conference themed, “Leadership for Impact: Connecting Commonwealth Leaders for Good,” and hosted in beautiful Sydney and surrounds from the 22–29 October 2027, builds on this tradition with a clear focus to support alumni in finding ways to partner for good.
Study Tours and alumni engagement as the heart of the experience
True to the DNA of the original Commonwealth Study Conferences, the 2027 alumni conference will not be confined to traditional conference settings. Alumni will experience the realities of Australia, engaging with Australian businesses, grassroots initiatives, indigenous enterprises, and industrial hubs, to witness complex social, economic, and environmental challenges firsthand.
Plenaries, study tours, and cross-sector dialogues will directly tackle systemic global issues providing opportunity for alumni to consider new ways for their leadership ability to create impact in the Commonwealth. The close will bring together previous generations of alums with the new alumni incumbents as we jointly close their conference experience.
